John Bolander was nominated for the Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award for the College of Engineering and the Awards Committee decided he best fulfilled the criteria for "excellence in teaching". According to the Dean's letter, "this is the highest honor that the College of Engineering can bestow upon its faculty".
