Faculty Awards

Since its inception in 1965, our department has had several distinguished achievements to its credit, including four National Academy of Engineering members (all currently Emeriti faculty), one UC Davis Prize for Teaching and Scholarly Achievement, seven NSF CAREER awards, six Academic Senate Distinguished Teaching Awards, three Distinguished Public Service Awards, three College of Engineering Alumni Distinguished Teaching Awards, the ASCE Newmark Medal, the ASCE Julian Hinds Award, the ASCE Ven Te Chow Award, the Heinz Award and the Stockholm Water Prize. As many as twenty of our faculty members serve on the editorial boards of over 35 different international journals with four of them having served or currently serving as editor-in-chief. The CEE faculty also has an outstanding tradition of service to the campus, the profession and society.
