Deb Niemeier and Ross Boulanger elected into The National Academy of Engineering

Please join us in congratulating Deb Niemeier and Ross Boulanger for being elected into The National Academy of Engineering (NAE). See the press release for the announcement here.

The NAE is an elected group of the world’s most accomplished engineers that aims to “promote the technological welfare of the nation by marshaling the knowledge and insights of eminent members of the engineering profession.” It is part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, an independent non-profit organization chartered by the U.S. Congress to provide objective analysis and advice to the nation.

Dr. Niemeier was elected “for developing groundbreaking tools to characterize the impact of transportation emissions on air quality and environmental justice.” Dr. Boulanger was elected “for contributions to geotechnical earthquake engineering and the development of procedures for evaluating seismic behavior of soil-structure systems.”

Congratulations Deb and Ross!
