Fae Azhari, a CEE graduate student
supervised by Professor Ken Loh, was
recently honored with the ASCE Freeman
Fellowship, a highly competitive graduate
student research award.
The Freeman Fellowship, sponsored by American Society of Civil
Engineers (ASCE) is awarded to a member of the Society, in
recognition of achievement or promise. The grant is made toward
expenses for experiments, observations, and compilations to
discover new and accurate data that will be useful in engineering.
Fae will be using the $5000 award towards advancing her PhD
research on the development of a robust bridge scour monitoring
