General Information
Prosser Creek Dam is located on Prosser Creek, approximately one and one-half miles upstream from its confluence with the Truckee River, and approximately four miles northeast of Truckee, California. The coordinates of the dam are 39o 23' North Latitude and 120o 08' West Longitude.
From Interstate 80 east of Truckee, follow State Route 89 north approximately one and one-half miles. Turn right and travel northeasterly on the country road (which is partly paved) for approximately three miles to the dam. Note that there are normally no weight limits, but access may be limited to all-terrain vehicles or four-wheel drive vehicles during winter months due to snow.
