The civil and environmental engineering education begins with fundamental principles of mathematics, computing, basic sciences, and engineering sciences. As students move through the engineering curriculum, greater emphasis is placed on applying fundamental principles to solve civil and environmental engineering problems in areas such as environmental, geotechnical, structural, transportation, and water resources. Students also are exposed to and often contribute to current research in these fields.
The Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department’s course schedules, along with the all other departments’ course schedules, are posted at the Class Search Tool website. To access the CEE schedule, select the correct “Year and Term,” and “Engineering Civil & Environ (ECI)” or “Engineering (ENG)” under the “Subject Area” pull down menu.
Future term course information will be released to the Class Search Tool on the following dates: Summer and Fall become available on March 1, Winter becomes available on September 1, Spring becomes available on November 1. Please check the Academic Calendar for registration dates.
Engineering students are required to complete degree requirements in effect the academic year they graduate or the academic year prior to the year of graduation. For example, students who plan to graduate during the 2016-2017 academic year must meet requirements for 2015-2016 or 2016-2017.
