Dr. Gross's research focuses on estuarine hydrodynamics and transport processes. His current focus is investigating ecological effects of hydrodynamic processes. Recent and ongoing projects include and modeling of zooplankton and fish distribution using particle-tracking models and individual-based models driven by three-dimensional hydrodynamic models.
